using Intense Pulsed Light is a relatively new innovation.
Employing the same theory which produced the remarkable
results of IPL hair removal, can now remove skin blemishes
and unwanted pigmentation using carefully filtered,
pulsed light.
A range of dermatological complaints can
be resolved using the precisely controlled output
of the XenoliteTM rejuvenation system. The wavelengths
and pulse sequence of the light are chosen so that
they target the unwanted colouration of the skin.
By applying this light to the blemished area, the
pigmentation will preferentially absorb the energy
causing a rise in temperature. By ensuring that the
problem areas reach a critical temperature, the cells
in this region will die and be reabsorbed by the body
- removing the unwanted pigmentation in the process.
